About Farmer Gene Farms
Farmer Gene Farms was started by Gene Moore, who grew up in a farming family. His youth was spent in row crops and hogs. He transitioned to produce and greenhouse plants when he took over the farm. Now Farmer Gene Farms is known for green collards in the winter, greenhouse tomatoes in the spring, squash and cucumbers during the summer, and colorful mums in the fall. He carries a wide selection of produce from his farm and also from other growers in his area. Gene prefers to work with nature and not against it. You can find Gene and his wife Wanda in the Market Shoppes on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at the Charlotte Regional Farmers Market.
